Hope you'll join us for! Take Back the Night with Saving Grace!
Take Back the Night History:
Take Back the Night was started in the US, in 1978. A march happened in San Francisco to protest violence against women. The movement gained momentum throughout the 1980s and 1990s, with Take Back the Night events being held on college campuses, in urban centers, and in communities around the world. These events often include educational workshops, speak-outs, and other activities aimed at raising awareness about sexual violence and promoting empowerment and healing for survivors.
Take Back the Night has evolved over the years to address a broader range of issues related to sexual violence, including domestic violence, street harassment, and violence against LGBTQ+ individuals. The movement continues to be an important force for advocacy, education, and support for survivors, with events taking place annually in cities and towns across the globe.
This is not event is not hosted by OUT Central Oregon.
