Shevlin Park Hike

  • Shevlin Park 18920 Northwest Shevlin Park Road Bend, OR, 97703 United States (map)

Join us for a hike in Shevlin Park, a Bend jewel, donated by the timber baron Shevlin family. This hike will start at the south side parking area. From there we'll head west to the mesa top adjacent to Shevlin Commons where we'll walk a couple miles before dropping into the Tumalo Creek canyon, then return to the parking area. Along the way we'll see both healthy riparian and open forest habitat. This is a moderately easy hike of about 5 miles.

If it appears to be icy please bring yak tracks or similar for extra traction. Well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome.

NOTE: this is the last hike advertised on Meetup LGBTQ+ Bend as I am sunsetting this Meetup site. Anyone can reestablish it. I still plan to lead monthly hikes which will be advertised on outcentraloregon.com and Facebook Group (for now) Bend LGBTQ+ Outdoors.

This event is not organized by OUT Central Oregon.
